A Community Asset on Wheels in Esperance

In Esperance, a simple idea — food brings people together — has become a powerful community asset.

With support from the Esperance Ag Fund (a Named Fund with the Fremantle Foundation), the Country Women’s Association – Esperance Bay & Districts has delivered a fully equipped mobile catering van, available free for local groups to use.

The grant helped complete the van’s fit-out, and it’s already in high demand — supporting farm clearing sales, Rotary events, schools, sporting clubs, and emergency services.

This is community philanthropy at its best: creating shared infrastructure that enables local groups to raise funds, connect, and thrive.

A practical investment, now becoming a much-loved community staple — famous hamburgers included.
