Saving a Lifeline: The Great Southern Community Hub

When Pivot Support Services’ Community Hub faced closure, the impact on vulnerable people across the Great Southern would have been immediate and severe.

The Albany Community Foundation (ACF) stepped in.

Working alongside Pivot, ACF helped shape a compelling case for support — then activated its networks across WA, including Community Foundations Australia. This advocacy secured vital funding from the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, enabling the Hub not just to survive, but to continue supporting hundreds of individuals and families in need.

This is civic leadership in action — local organisations, working together, to protect what matters most.

ACF is proud to have played a role in this outcome, and extends sincere thanks to the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation for making it possible.
